2010 Birthdays – Ash

Ash’s 16th birthday I know this came around just way too soon, but there you go, Ash turned 16. Again high cake stakes, although this time Jase was the master chef: It was inspired by her birthday present: Ash’s party was loads of fun (well for them – we weren’t really allowed into the playroom). 2010 Birthdays – Connor

Connor’s 10th birthday Connor had a sleepover and it turns out that 10-11 year old boys (and girl) go a little bit nutty under these circumstances. Thank goodness we have a great playroom and they could just entertain themselves with whatever we have in there. It was Mon’s turn for cake cooking and she set [...]

Bendigo Trip

During the school holidays, I was quite busy at work, and was unable to take any extra time off to spend with the family like I usually do.  Mon was working day shift of the weekend in the middle, and like half an hour before she was due to leave she dragged us out to [...]

The real killer though is on [...]

Volcano Cake

Oops, I misled you, we didn’t do a cool cake for Ash (although Mon had made an incredibly rich, moist, and large cake for her) but we did for Connor. Connor had a science experiment party, which was fun, so we had to make a volcano cake!

St Kilda Adventure Park

Today we all caught the train in to St Kilda to go to the adventure playground there. The City of Port Philip has a couple of adventure playgrounds designed as ‘big backyards’ for children in high density public housing. Based on a similar concept in Denmark, the children were originally given the materials and tools [...]

Poly-monopoly

It was really hot yesterday and we couldn’t go out anywhere, so Connor played a game of Monopoly with himself… Full size version
