We planted carrots, various lettuces, broccoli and capsicum a few weeks ago. Forgot to post the photo at the time, it’s on the left or big version here.
Then last week, Melbourne was the lucky recipient of over 5 inches of rain in 24 hours (if memory serves it was 145mm at the Scoresby weather station, closest one to my house). As well as millions of dollars of property damage and leaving parts of Eastern Melbourne without power for 24 hours, it washed away half our carrots.

Click the pic on the right for a bigger view of the devastation. They were just starting to get carroty looking shoots too. Me and Connor went out on the weekend, put some new topsoil in the hole and planted dwarf runner beans in that spot.
In other garden news, I have lettuce from our garden in my lunch today!
